How to Print Silk PLA (And Keep It Shiny)
Silk PLA behaves differently than standard PLA. Its glossy, metallic appearance depends primarily on how fast it is printed. Printing too fast makes silk PLA look dull or opaque, even when extrusion is otherwise correct.
The Taffy Rule (Easy Way to Remember)
Think of silk PLA like warm taffy:
- Pull it slowly and it stretches smoothly and stays shiny
